In some situations our cats may become upset when we are petting and stroking them. They may initially find the petting and stroking pleasant, but then become agitated and want it to stop. When they become that agitated they might become aggressive as well. If a cat continually responds that way it would be prudent to speak to your veterinarian for additional help with the problem.
