Research has shown us that leaner pets live healthier, longer lives. An overweight cat is at risk for several diseases and joint and muscular pain. Regulating intake through programmed and measured feeding and when necessary a diet pet food is prudent. It is also important to ascertain if a medical condition is the cause of the weight gain/loss.
