I can only guess that whatever you encounter during work lingers. Cats “read all about it†by sniffing and tasting, so it makes sense that she’d want you to tell her about your day in this fashion. She may also be concerned that you’ve not pet her in many hours and your hands don’t smell enough like HER–so she perfumes you with licking.
