Oh, the common frustration of giving a cat their medicine. Not to pass the buck on this but I would consult with the veterinarian that prescribed the medications. In particular, some chemotherapy medications should not be crushed and need to be handled with caution. We don’t need to worry about the steroid quite so much. My rule with meds is getting it into him however you can.
Many times giving the meds in the food or with goodies does not work and you have to resort to the old fashioned way of sticking it down their throat.
Your veterinarian or their staff could give you a demonstration. Most veterinarians do work with a pharmacy that can turn almost any pill into a flavored liquid, so this would be an option. There is also a commercial treat that is hollowed out to hide pills and we’ve had great success with this for some of our cats. Good luck and I hope your cat does well.
